Tropical Heat

After an array soggy bank holiday barbecues and rainy weekends, the sun has finally made an appearance. It's that glorious time of year again; meaning our wardrobes have suddenly got a lot more interesting. Drab shades of grey and black have been replaced with a rainbow of  luminous brights, sumptuous prints and strappy sandals.

For a fresh look this season, invest in a chic pair of printed trousers. This tropical Miss Selfridge pair make for a vivid summer look; the floral print injects splashes of neon and evokes images of sultry rain forests and scorching summer heats. Over load on colour and team your zesty prints with a bold crop top. This acid yellow beauty is a spring time staple. The high neck line adds an elegant touch, while still allowing you to show off your tanned midriff. Team your outfit with a block heel, gold accessories and a massive pair or sunglasses to keep the look catwalk cool.

Prom Perfection

Dresses are the easiest way to add a feminine touch to your day time attire. This stunning party dress is perfect for SS14 - the baby blue hue and gorgeous shape make this a wardrobe essential. The adorable skater design gives the look a soft edge while the bustier front vamps up the look for added impact. Keep the look simple and choose delicate accessories; strappy heels and a clutch compliment this look beautifully.

If can't leave the house without lashings of jewels laced over your fingers and drizzled on your neck - hunt down a pastel statement necklace. Miss Selfridge and New Look do some dazzling floral beauties. If you want to inject some more pizazz into the outfit - slip some floral rings on your claws and add some omph to your locks. Tong sections of your hair and leave the rest to dry with a natural wave.

White Out

There's been a white out on the red carpet lately, from  ivory suits to creamy court shoes - white is the hue of the moment. The bleached out trend is the perfect way to stand out from the crowd with minimal effort.

For a refreshing spin on the look, find a quilted two piece. Textured fabric and simplistic outfits have been favoured by Chanel, Lagerfeld & Co. for years. The classic tailoring never dates and makes for a chic outfit no matter the occasion.

Head to Missguided and invest in a Bridget Bardot inspired crop top. Make the style icon your muse and rock one of her infamous off the shoulder tops. Dare to bare your collar bones and streamline your arms with the stretchy fabric. To take the trend one step further, transform your outfit into an adorable suit with a matching skirt. If you're scared of heading out top to toe in crisp shades of white - break up the look with hints of black. Monochrome is still a huge trend and black detailing is the easiest way to slim down areas we wish weren't so curvaceous.

An all white ensemble adds the perfect amount of decadence to any evening outfit and a perfect hint of power to any board room meeting.

Spring Greens

The pastel parade has been in town all winter and it seems to be staying for S/S too but that doesn't mean we can't indulge in a little bit of neon now and again. Pale pinks and subtle lavenders have been splashed on our outfits for months and they have even found their way into our make up bags - but now the sun is beginning to shine and the evenings are getting lighter - it's time to inject some of that brightness into our wardrobes. Take a trip to your local Topshop and pick up this grass green garment. The strappy dress is perfect for lazy Sundays in the park and looks equally as gorgeous on a night out sipping a Pinot or two. Make your outfit a real talking point and accessorize this jade beauty with a kitsch necklace. This adorable bird chain is from Topshop and really accentuates the look. Inject an extra pinch of personality and add some shades to your dishevelled hair. Now you can infuse some sunshine into your look - even if it's not actually shining...

Fuchsia Fusion

Nothing says feminine quite like a pink dress; decorate said dress with matching pink jewels and a flowered pattern and you've got yourself a look so girlie you could join The Saturdays. Don't be scared to rock a ladylike ensemble - pretty pinks and pastel palettes have been spotted all over the S/S and A/W14 catwalks so it's a trend that's here to stay. If baby pink is a little too soft for your style and causes too many 90's Baby Spice flashbacks - inject some fuchsia into your wardrobe. This Miss Selfridge dress is the perfect way to wear the trend if the the thought of walking around head to toe in pink brings you out in a sweat. The darker shade means you can look womanly but will still be taken seriously at work or in the class room. The grey background means you can give it a rock chick vibe with some black opaques and killer ankle boots in the colder months, and in the summer you can update the look with bare legs and a pair of over sized sunglasses.

Five Pound Shoes

Holidays. Picnics. Theme parks. Festivals. Clubbing.
These are just some of the things that make our summers epic but our bank balance sad. Prowling through the shelves of Office for new holiday heels can be problematic - especially when you've already spent half your months wage on flights and hotels! But there is no need to stress your wallet out anymore - http://www.everything5pounds.com has come to our rescue!

The website is true to its tittle and features fashionable outfits for a mere five hundred pennies and the shoe section is where the store really excels! Their selection is on trend and features statement soles, animal print and neon. The best part is - they're so cheap you don't have to limit yourself to one pair- you can have some for every day of the week!

Maximum Impact in Midi Skirt

A Postcard From Brighton - £29.95
New Look - £8 SALE
Miss Selfridge - £45
Zara - £19.99 SALE

The Sunshine might be out in full beam but it's not had to reminisce a time when the rain dampened our day - and wardrobes! In a summer of unpredictable weather its hard to find a skirt to rely on. A wardrobe crammed with short skirts might seem like a good idea win theory but when you're faced with the unpredictable British weather - something a little longer might be a better idea! The midi-skirt has become a fashion crutch to those who want to appear stylish and summery. The below the knee skirt oozes sophistication (and keeps your unwaxed legs firmly hidden on those 'can't be bothered days').

The skirt allows you to be adventurous with colour - New Look do a dazzling yellow design so you can be  as eye - catching as the sun itself. If your not brave enough to embellish your body in summer brights - check out the brand A postcard from Brighton for this monochrome beauty. The tight skirt gives instant sex appeal for when you're feeling wicked and the stretchy fabric allows maximum comfort. Gorgeous!

Blazin' Squad

Hello mini - milks!

It's time to ditch the parka jackets and replace your fur coats because there's a new cover up in town. Summer time is upon us and with the British nip in the air, a blazer is the perfect breeze barrier. The brighter the colour the better appear to be the rules in celeb-town. A vivid yellow blazer will keep you dazzling through out the summer and a electric - blue shade will keep you snug all the way through to the autumn months. Bargain! Tropical fashionista's can team it with bold, flower printed play-suits. Other chic ladies can team the bright jacket with a pair of clashing, coloured skinny jeans to create some beautiful block colouring; just remember to keep the bouffant hair to a minimum with such a bold look - we don't want any more Cheryl Cole disasters.

The more conservative dresser can team their blazer with some black jeans and minimal silver jewellery or if you're a colour coordinator you can bring some matching short shorts into the equation and rock the matching combo trend. The blazer not only looks incredibly stylish - it also covers our untanned arms - that perhaps haven't visited the gym in a while. What's not to love?
