LFW - Caroline Charles Spring/Summer 13

Renowned for our catwalk parades of diversity and eclectic ranges of clothing here in England's capital city - London fashion week kicked off to an amazing start. Caroline Charles is a fashion week regular and she still manages to bring vibrant new designs to the stage season after season. For spring/ summer 13, Charles had her dazzling models in a rainbow of 80s inspired colours. The collection included an array of maxi dresses, toe skimming trousers and floaty dresses. Hats were a key accessory with everything from bikinis to floor length gowns featuring a stylish head piece.

Her outfits had a sophisticated note to them; this range of clothes are for the ladylike dresser. So put away your denim hot pants and make Kate Middleton you're S/S13 style muse!

Do It Like A Dude

Flicking through the latest issue off any fashion weekly, you will see a cluster of fabulous dresses draped over stunning females. Cheyl, Tulisa and Rhianna all have a closet full of the latest edgy catwalk creations but its time for them to take of their fashion crown and hand it over to our new style crush: Labrinth.

The 23 year old London singer might be a male, but with get ups like these it would be a crime again fashion ignore his efforts. The talented star has already been recognised for his style and featured in GQs 100 best dressed list at 41. Lab is a serial colour blocker and is frequently seen rocking fashion forward bright trousers with clashing shirts. In a recent photo shoot, the singer wore a canary yellow shirt with a pair of  bold green jeans! House of Fraser have a feminine version of his shirt with capped sleeves.

Earlier this year, at Wireless festival, Lab wore a denim shirt with a leopard print  pocket and cuffs. The clashing material and pattern caught our eye - and heart! To copy his style, Rokit have produced a similar design for only £25! The long sleeves and high collar means it will be cosy in the winter as well as eye catching! Who said winter fashion had to be dark and boring?

To truly evoke Labs style and make him proud - add a bow tie to your shirt. And of course a pair of his signature thick rimmed specs!

Clashing Collars

Contrasting collars will be everywhere this winter! The summer months seen us adding intricate details to our shirt collars. Metal tips and pearl details were everywhere. The A/ W catwalks have tweaked this trend slightly and ditched the sweet and delicate collars and relapsed them with bright, clashing designs! ASOS do a stunning sheer blouse with a shocking orange collar. The contrasting colour and material combination gives a truly unique edge to the top. Rock this design with a pair of dark skinnies and sky scrapper heels to ensure all eyes are on you. For the edgy fashionistas - Miss Guided have created a checked shirt with a studded leather collar. The thick material will keep you warm in serious style!

Shimmer And Shine With Sequin Make Up

Sequin make up is a innovative way to freshen up your make up this Autumn. The gleaming sun has vacated to the other side of the world for 6 months and left us with wind and rain. The dull weather tends to make fashion evolve into dark, gothic garments; leaving colour and glitter at the bottom of our wardrobe but that doesn't mean your make up can't dazzle with iridescence!

Sequin make up allows you to indulge in some sparkle and creates a unique new look! This vibrant beauty technique was spotted all over the A/W catwalks. You can add intriguing patterns to your eyes on a Friday night out or simply add some glamour to your 9 - 5.

Louise Grey has released a glitter pot at Topshop for a fraction of the catwalk price. The sequins come in holographic heart shapes that gleam with technicolour as soon as a shard of light graces its surface. The shimmering glitter pot allows you to create dynamic creations and make you shine with simmering creativity.

Purple Perfection

Autumn nights are creeping in. The evening sky is no longer a pallet of burnt orange, crimson and glorious baby blue - instead it's layered in tones of deep purple and musky blue. The same can be said for our A/W wardrobe. Gothic shades embellished the catwalks with the colour purple standing out the most. Forget about winter clothing being 50 shades of grey - It's all about 50 shades of purple (Hah!).

House of Fraser do a pretty lilac dress in a classic shape - fit for a Disney princess! If you want to up the sex appeal - Lipsy has designed a smouldering mini - dress which has vixen written all over it. Wear it to the office with dark tights, a leather jacket and a pair of wedged ankle boots and as soon as the clock strikes 5 - take the tights and jacket off for a fresh evening look. This dress will be sure to get the attention of the hunky bar man you've had your eye on!

Baroque Brigade

The A/W catwalks have taken inspiration from the great queens of the 17th century. The baroque trend first exploded on the runway at Alexander Mcqueen and Balmain and not it's taking over the high street too.Think Downton Abbey but with plenty of swagger.

Dorothy Perkins have interpreted the style in a muted fashion and have given it a Gothic edge. This is the perfect collection if you prefer to keep your winter months dark and stylish.

Some stunning baroque finds can be found in the Topshop sale. The stunning hot pants featured below have a summery vibe due to the blue palate - wear on your holidays and flaunt your tanned legs in the last summer months. When the Autumn evenings draw in - team the shorts with black opaques and some black wedge ankle boots. Celebrities such as Rhianna and Holly Willoughby have been seen rocking the vintage inspired baroque sequinned dress below. This dress flatters all figures as the black background and skin tight design of the dress gives the illusion of a silhouette even Victoria Beckham would be proud of. The Topshop garment which has caused the stunning garment to sell out. The dress can still be found on Ebay with prices starting at £45.99 - not bad for a dress found in the wardrobes of TVs finest!

Jungle Fever

Imagine sizzling temperatures, wild gardens and spectacular flowers and you will have a striking vision of the tropical trend. Summer is coming to a close soon and jungle print jumpsuits and trousers provide the perfect transition for those chilly evenings. The sun is setting earlier and the darker nights are edging in but that doesnt have to show in your wardrobe. Be brave and be bright and invest in some tropical brights. Look out for green and blue tones for a true rainforest goddess style. If you prefer to take a muted interpretation of the look - purchase some with a plain black background.

Opulent One Piece Swim Suits

Year after year we drench our hungry bodies at the gym with sweat so we can wear less clothes on the beach. We ditch the custard creams for celery sticks all so we can splash into the water in a tiny two piece swimsuit. This summer obsession is not necessary this year; catwalks have been full of models slinking down the runway in gorgeous swim suits. Famous beauties Beyonce and Tulisa, to name a few, have been spotted lounging around poolside in dazzling one pieces.

In a recent poll, yahoo.com has discovered that 65% of males prefer the look with only 35% of men who don't. There seemed to be only one rule: the suit needs to be sexy so you don't look like your trying out for the Olympic swim team!

Keeping this in mind, Missguided.com and River Island have released a stunning one piece with cut out panels so you will ooze sex appeal! Tulisa sported Ted Bakers latest floral creation in her 'young' video; if your purse is looking sparse this holiday season - head to Miss Selfridge to get a similar costume for half the price.
