Sweatshirt Season

Moonlit mornings, frosty starts and laddered tights are what can spring to mind when it comes to the winter months. The summer still feels like forever away, while the satisfying season of mulled wine and mince pies seems like a distant memory. We're officially mid-season, meaning we're at that awkward stage of the year where we don't know whether to brave the winds in a sleek shirt dress or hibernate until March in our favourite Uggs and skinny's combo.

Snuggling up in a fleece lined layer can make that 6am wake up call that bit more bearable. Turn your off-duty sweatshirt into an office friendly outfit with the addition of a leather skirt. If you're feeling brave - ditch the opaques in favour of bare legs and ankle boots for a look that will take you from your morning commute to Friday night cocktails without the need of a 5pm change. Take your sweatshirt into the new season by choosing one with a Spring-ready floral design; this embroidered piece from New Look will look just as stylish now teamed with red lips and over the knee boots as it will in April with your favourite sneakers and baseball cap.

Autumn Dressing

September brought the nation weeks of warm weather. While rocking sandals post August was uplifting, we knew it wouldn't be long until we were welcoming our trusty ankle boots back into our lives. Everyone was making the most of it - showing up to the office in sleek camisoles and slender sundresses - as we new it would only be a matter of days until the leaves started hitting the ground.

Fast forward two weeks and there's finally that soothing Autumn chill swirling through the air. The trees are starting to shed and the nights are drawing in closer - giving us the perfect opportunity to dig out our favourite Autumn essentials.

Bomber jackets are the perfect cover up when the weather starts to turn. Their padded shell adds warmth while the open front and pocket details have the power to give any ensemble a stylish sports luxe vibe. Take the look one step further and team it with a classic pair of white trainers and a leather backpack. Not only do they make you feel like you're walking on clouds rather than trudging through bark - box fresh sneakers add a cool edge to your trusty leggings and plain tee combo.

If you're more of a girlie girl than an all-out sports babe - take a nod to the nineties and add a choker. Black velvet ones have been spotted all over the catwalks and surprisingly look good with pretty much anything.

The Body Shop Shea Body Butter

The countdown to Spring has began and soon it will be time to replace our winter uniform of cosy jumpers and skinny jeans with a plethora of light summery dresses and spring time mini skirts. But after months of central heating, icy breezes and gloomy winters nights, it's not an easy task to release the denim and 300 denier tights from our manicured finger tips.

A whole season of cosy nights in and damp mornings has meant moisturising has not been at the top of our agenda. But fear not - The Body Shop has come to our rescue. The trusty beauty gurus at the high street hot spot have a delicious range of sweetly scented balms that relinquish the power to leave limbs luxuriously silky without upsetting even the most sensitive of skins.

If you're not ready to embrace the summer just yet and head into the world smelling like a strawberry dream or a exotic coconut creation, by pass these balms and head straight to the Shea Body Butter. The simple concoction is infused with Shea oil soured from the Middle East where the glamazons of Ghana have been invigorating their skin with the liquid for centuries to shield their skin from the harsh Saharan winds.

Lightly lace your legs in the gentle formula for a hint of every day glamour or really perk up your complexion and drench your body in the super rich butter before bed to wake up with outrageously glowing skin.
