Maximum Impact in Midi Skirt

A Postcard From Brighton - £29.95
New Look - £8 SALE
Miss Selfridge - £45
Zara - £19.99 SALE

The Sunshine might be out in full beam but it's not had to reminisce a time when the rain dampened our day - and wardrobes! In a summer of unpredictable weather its hard to find a skirt to rely on. A wardrobe crammed with short skirts might seem like a good idea win theory but when you're faced with the unpredictable British weather - something a little longer might be a better idea! The midi-skirt has become a fashion crutch to those who want to appear stylish and summery. The below the knee skirt oozes sophistication (and keeps your unwaxed legs firmly hidden on those 'can't be bothered days').

The skirt allows you to be adventurous with colour - New Look do a dazzling yellow design so you can be  as eye - catching as the sun itself. If your not brave enough to embellish your body in summer brights - check out the brand A postcard from Brighton for this monochrome beauty. The tight skirt gives instant sex appeal for when you're feeling wicked and the stretchy fabric allows maximum comfort. Gorgeous!

Beaming Beautiful: Benefit Hight Beam

Shiny cheeks can look beautiful in the sunshine - but there is a fine line between a fresh and dewy complexion to a sweat drenched cheekbone! The look can seem youthful and flirtatious but it can be difficult to create. Some highlighters promise a subtle shimmer but instead leave you with glitter cascading don your face while others can leave you smothered in a layer of gooey slime! Not the shimmering goddess you had in mind right?

Benefit hight beam highlighter claims to be a luminescent complexion enhancer and it doesn't lie. The application is incredibly easy; once you unscrew the lid - you will find a brush attached which looks very similar to a nail varnish applicator. The product glides on and leaves a flawless finish to the applied areas. The product gives a natural looking glow with a subtle pink tint - this gives your cheeks a natural flush to save you looking washed out.

Embrace The Power Of Flower

Parks and gardens are laced in weaves of pretty pansies, romantic roses, dazzling daffodils and of course - lashings dainty of daisies! Summer is in full swing and flowers are blossoming everywhere. It is getting impossible to stroll through a patch of grass with out spotting some form of delicate flower in bloom.

The same almost goes for the S/S catwalks '12. Designers draped their models in the fanciest of florals giving the room a glorious summer vibe. The high street has followed form and has produced some bloomin' wonderful designs! Get it?

Kelly Brook has designed a gorgeous lady-like satchel for New Look. The gorgeous bag brings glamour to any outfit and the nude base colour means there is not much it won't go with. Motel, Debenhams and Lipsy have well and truly embraced the floral trend and designed some bold flowered prints on a white base to ensure full impact! For those who don't feel quite so brave - Miss Selfridge do a wonderful bodyshaper with muted peach and blue tones! Beautiful!

Pretty In Pink Polish

Hello beauty addicts!
Barry M Instant Effects Crackle Nail Polish (Pink)

Rimmel London 60 Seconds (640 Twinkle)

Barry M nail crackle is a wonder product for those who want an artistic effect on their nails but don't have a lot of time at their disposal. The paint might initially shock you as it has quite a chalky feel to it and brushes on in an almost lumpy fashion but it separates with in seconds and a funky pattern will make an appearance. The pink colouring isn't for the shy as it's incredibly vibrant - brilliant for rocking the summer '12 neon trend! The polish dries in moments so it's perfect for lunch break nail touch ups.

As a base coat, Rimmel London's 60 seconds nail polish in 'Twinkle' looks stunning against the bright crackle. The polish dries a little slower than promised but it doesn't chip for days so it's well worth the wait. The polish glides over the nail and reveals a subtle lilac shimmer - very summery! The pastel colour is not very striking but with one layer of nail crackle the polish instantly pops! The varnishes are fairly similar colours with a strong brightness contrast so the over all look is reminiscent of camouflage - for the fashion army. Obviously.

Hello Flawless: Oxygen Wow - Benefit

Hello gorgeous girlies!

Benefit - Hello Flawless Foundation - £24.50

Strolling through London's Carnaby Street, the Benefit shop caught my eye. The cute shop was a dazzling cave of shimmering products, gorgeous women and kitsch decor. Temptation got the better of me and I had to have a peak inside. Within seconds, a fabulously made - up blonde woman asked to do my make up and knowing full well this would lead to me leaving the store with an empty purse - I agreed.

She laced my skin with this light weight foundation and it gave my skin an instant gleam. The formula has subtle shimmering particles in it which gave my skin a lovely ivory sheen. It gave a light coverage and allowed my freckles to make a gentle appearance which I'm not used to from make up. The product is not the best for covering large blemishes and dark freckles, but if you want your skin to have a slight glow and even tone this foundation works wonders! In the past I've had to hover my phone away from my face so my foundation doesn't rub off onto my screen. Sexy right? This liquid substance soaks into the skin and stays put in all conditions. After seeing my glowing complexion I had to buy a bottle and I imagine it won't be the last!
