Autumn Dressing

September brought the nation weeks of warm weather. While rocking sandals post August was uplifting, we knew it wouldn't be long until we were welcoming our trusty ankle boots back into our lives. Everyone was making the most of it - showing up to the office in sleek camisoles and slender sundresses - as we new it would only be a matter of days until the leaves started hitting the ground.

Fast forward two weeks and there's finally that soothing Autumn chill swirling through the air. The trees are starting to shed and the nights are drawing in closer - giving us the perfect opportunity to dig out our favourite Autumn essentials.

Bomber jackets are the perfect cover up when the weather starts to turn. Their padded shell adds warmth while the open front and pocket details have the power to give any ensemble a stylish sports luxe vibe. Take the look one step further and team it with a classic pair of white trainers and a leather backpack. Not only do they make you feel like you're walking on clouds rather than trudging through bark - box fresh sneakers add a cool edge to your trusty leggings and plain tee combo.

If you're more of a girlie girl than an all-out sports babe - take a nod to the nineties and add a choker. Black velvet ones have been spotted all over the catwalks and surprisingly look good with pretty much anything.

Spring Greens

The pastel parade has been in town all winter and it seems to be staying for S/S too but that doesn't mean we can't indulge in a little bit of neon now and again. Pale pinks and subtle lavenders have been splashed on our outfits for months and they have even found their way into our make up bags - but now the sun is beginning to shine and the evenings are getting lighter - it's time to inject some of that brightness into our wardrobes. Take a trip to your local Topshop and pick up this grass green garment. The strappy dress is perfect for lazy Sundays in the park and looks equally as gorgeous on a night out sipping a Pinot or two. Make your outfit a real talking point and accessorize this jade beauty with a kitsch necklace. This adorable bird chain is from Topshop and really accentuates the look. Inject an extra pinch of personality and add some shades to your dishevelled hair. Now you can infuse some sunshine into your look - even if it's not actually shining...

Punk Princess

Tick off two trends and invest in a tartan pencil skirt. The figure skimming skirt shows off your feminine curves without having to freeze your little legs off in a mini. The 90s are still a huge influence this season and featured heavily at LWF. An array of models and street stylers were spotted reviving the era by wandering around Somerset House in tartan, studs and leather. Punk icons such as the Sex Pistols, Debbie Harry and Courtney Love appear to have inspired the latest collections hitting the catwalks. Team your tartan with with a simple black vest. Embellish your outfit in as many gold chains and studs you can find. Don't be scared to pile on the bling; more is definitely more. To finish off the look, rough up your hair and slick on a pair of over sized shades. Not only will they give you a cool rock star vibe - they do a pretty good job of a late night or two...

Queen of Green

The freaky February weather means we don't know whether we should be rocking knit wear or Ray-bans. With short flurry's of snow followed by bursts of sun - our wardrobes are growing increasingly confused. Have the best of both worlds, and wrap yourself in a short sleeved jumper. The free arms will keep you cool while the fury material ensures you midriff is nice and toasty. Get yours in a delicious pastel colour; the delicate shade will take you all the way though spring (and maybe the summer as we're relying on the British weather). Keep the look colourful and team yours with a bright skirt. This emerald design is a Topshop bargain at £20. The asymmetric edging provides an interesting finish and the classic wrap shape means it's a real investment. Pop on some opaques, heels and a leather jacket to top off the look and beat the winter chill.

Shimmer And Shine With Sequin Make Up

Sequin make up is a innovative way to freshen up your make up this Autumn. The gleaming sun has vacated to the other side of the world for 6 months and left us with wind and rain. The dull weather tends to make fashion evolve into dark, gothic garments; leaving colour and glitter at the bottom of our wardrobe but that doesn't mean your make up can't dazzle with iridescence!

Sequin make up allows you to indulge in some sparkle and creates a unique new look! This vibrant beauty technique was spotted all over the A/W catwalks. You can add intriguing patterns to your eyes on a Friday night out or simply add some glamour to your 9 - 5.

Louise Grey has released a glitter pot at Topshop for a fraction of the catwalk price. The sequins come in holographic heart shapes that gleam with technicolour as soon as a shard of light graces its surface. The shimmering glitter pot allows you to create dynamic creations and make you shine with simmering creativity.

Baroque Brigade

The A/W catwalks have taken inspiration from the great queens of the 17th century. The baroque trend first exploded on the runway at Alexander Mcqueen and Balmain and not it's taking over the high street too.Think Downton Abbey but with plenty of swagger.

Dorothy Perkins have interpreted the style in a muted fashion and have given it a Gothic edge. This is the perfect collection if you prefer to keep your winter months dark and stylish.

Some stunning baroque finds can be found in the Topshop sale. The stunning hot pants featured below have a summery vibe due to the blue palate - wear on your holidays and flaunt your tanned legs in the last summer months. When the Autumn evenings draw in - team the shorts with black opaques and some black wedge ankle boots. Celebrities such as Rhianna and Holly Willoughby have been seen rocking the vintage inspired baroque sequinned dress below. This dress flatters all figures as the black background and skin tight design of the dress gives the illusion of a silhouette even Victoria Beckham would be proud of. The Topshop garment which has caused the stunning garment to sell out. The dress can still be found on Ebay with prices starting at £45.99 - not bad for a dress found in the wardrobes of TVs finest!

Stylish Stomping

Black Carnaby Geometric Wellies by Hunter
@ Topshop £150

River Island £25

It's finally festival time! A whole weekend of slumming it with a group of friends with an endless supply of alcohol and nothing to worry about other than which stage you want to rave at next. All the wild partying and late nights might be fabulous for our moods but they're killer on our feet. The sloppy mud and vast fields means our feet will not be feeling very happy. The reason for camping outdoors, I imagine, is because if everyone stayed in a room together no one would make it till the morning due to the toxic foot smell. Not nice. To save your precious feet from bulging blisters and nasty sores - invest in a pair of wellies.

The the demure dressers can opt for a chic black geometric patterned pair from Topshop. The subtle design gives the wellies a funky festival feel without being too outrageous - perfect if you don't want to draw too much attention to your un-showered self! The girlie princess can pick up some pretty ankle boot style wellies from USC. The patient shoe has a large nude bow on the front which adds instant Barbie appeal. For the ravers - River Island do a luminous yellow pair of the waterproof boots. They're covered in bird silhouettes which are reminiscent of Kate Moss' Topshop collection circa '10.

Don't let the thoughts of old farmers trudging through muck put you off - even this player is getting in on the action!

Stud And Deliver

Hello Lovelies,

The festival season has already began and the only way to show true appreciation to a summer of fields filled with rock gods, is to layer on lashings of studs. Don't be afraid to lavish this trend; bring in as many different accessories as you wish. If 'glamping' is more your style, Christian Louboutin has a gorgeous pair of red soled beauties that have killer impact. If your budget doesn't quite rival a rock star, missguided.com also have a stunning pair of heels for a fraction of the price.

There is a studded creation for everyone, from a princess pink headband with pointed studs to create an edge or full on shoulder blades as featured on the Topshop denim jacket bellow. The truly brave can channel Kanye West and sport a pair of studded sunglasses. If this style is not your thing, you can simply wrap your phone up in a demur studded case. Phones need outfits too y'know? ;)

Blazin' Squad

Hello mini - milks!

It's time to ditch the parka jackets and replace your fur coats because there's a new cover up in town. Summer time is upon us and with the British nip in the air, a blazer is the perfect breeze barrier. The brighter the colour the better appear to be the rules in celeb-town. A vivid yellow blazer will keep you dazzling through out the summer and a electric - blue shade will keep you snug all the way through to the autumn months. Bargain! Tropical fashionista's can team it with bold, flower printed play-suits. Other chic ladies can team the bright jacket with a pair of clashing, coloured skinny jeans to create some beautiful block colouring; just remember to keep the bouffant hair to a minimum with such a bold look - we don't want any more Cheryl Cole disasters.

The more conservative dresser can team their blazer with some black jeans and minimal silver jewellery or if you're a colour coordinator you can bring some matching short shorts into the equation and rock the matching combo trend. The blazer not only looks incredibly stylish - it also covers our untanned arms - that perhaps haven't visited the gym in a while. What's not to love?
