Prom Perfection

Dresses are the easiest way to add a feminine touch to your day time attire. This stunning party dress is perfect for SS14 - the baby blue hue and gorgeous shape make this a wardrobe essential. The adorable skater design gives the look a soft edge while the bustier front vamps up the look for added impact. Keep the look simple and choose delicate accessories; strappy heels and a clutch compliment this look beautifully.

If can't leave the house without lashings of jewels laced over your fingers and drizzled on your neck - hunt down a pastel statement necklace. Miss Selfridge and New Look do some dazzling floral beauties. If you want to inject some more pizazz into the outfit - slip some floral rings on your claws and add some omph to your locks. Tong sections of your hair and leave the rest to dry with a natural wave.

Spring Greens

The pastel parade has been in town all winter and it seems to be staying for S/S too but that doesn't mean we can't indulge in a little bit of neon now and again. Pale pinks and subtle lavenders have been splashed on our outfits for months and they have even found their way into our make up bags - but now the sun is beginning to shine and the evenings are getting lighter - it's time to inject some of that brightness into our wardrobes. Take a trip to your local Topshop and pick up this grass green garment. The strappy dress is perfect for lazy Sundays in the park and looks equally as gorgeous on a night out sipping a Pinot or two. Make your outfit a real talking point and accessorize this jade beauty with a kitsch necklace. This adorable bird chain is from Topshop and really accentuates the look. Inject an extra pinch of personality and add some shades to your dishevelled hair. Now you can infuse some sunshine into your look - even if it's not actually shining...

Neon for Spring

If the pastel trend isn't quite scratching your colour itch - head to Miss Selfridge and invest in this neon floral number. The subtle grey background makes a refreshing background choice as black and white can become boring. An array of bright pinks, purples and oranges are sprinkled all over this dress and it is all tied together with a neon yellow belt. Add a matching yellow bag to really make the colour really pop. Gun metal coloured jewellery works best with grey - but try not to over do it. Add a couple of rings or a simple bracelet to keep the outfit interesting but let the dress do most of the talking. Lovers of all things bright and beautiful can rejoice - the neon trend is back and it's bigger than ever.

Fuchsia Fusion

Nothing says feminine quite like a pink dress; decorate said dress with matching pink jewels and a flowered pattern and you've got yourself a look so girlie you could join The Saturdays. Don't be scared to rock a ladylike ensemble - pretty pinks and pastel palettes have been spotted all over the S/S and A/W14 catwalks so it's a trend that's here to stay. If baby pink is a little too soft for your style and causes too many 90's Baby Spice flashbacks - inject some fuchsia into your wardrobe. This Miss Selfridge dress is the perfect way to wear the trend if the the thought of walking around head to toe in pink brings you out in a sweat. The darker shade means you can look womanly but will still be taken seriously at work or in the class room. The grey background means you can give it a rock chick vibe with some black opaques and killer ankle boots in the colder months, and in the summer you can update the look with bare legs and a pair of over sized sunglasses.
